The Backseat Boogie – Rocketman Records

I Backseat Boogie nascono nella zona di Milano nel 2007 come trio rockabilly per poi diventare un quartetto dopo alcuni anni con l’aggiunta di un armonicista/sassofonista.
Definire la musica dei Backseat Boogie “rockabilly” sarebbe incorretto, o quantomeno riduttivo. Il loro sound è una miscela originale di country, rockin ‘blues, boogie e rockabilly integrando una solida sezione ritmica, una chitarra selvaggia, sassofono, armonie vocali e anche alcuni brani col banjo.
Il repertorio è in gran parte composto da brani originali che parlano della vita di tutti i giorni con testi intelligenti e ironici. I loro spettacoli dal vivo sono scintillanti, energici e incisivi grazie all’esperienza che hanno guadagnato nel corso degli anni.
La band ha pubblicato un EP nel 2008 (“The Backseat Boogie Trio”), un LP nel 2010 (“Till The Day I Die”), hanno anche fatto parte della compilation SUMMER JAMBOREE #12 con il brano SLAVE TO THE RHYTHM e recentemente il loro lavoro terzo in studio prodotto con RocketMan Records, “Original Spirit” (2013). Per il singolo “All my friends are losers” è stato girato un videoclip nella campagna Toscana ed è ora online.
La band ha suonato in tutta Italia, Svizzera e Germania in molti club e locali e ha preso parte a tutte i più importanti festival italiani come Summer Jamboree, Get Rhythm, Moondogs Festival e molti altri, sempre distinguendosi per la originalità, verve e tecnica.

The Backseat Boogie was born in the Milan area in 2007 as a rockabilly trio and then became a quartet after a few years adding a harp/saxophone player.
Defining THE BACKEAT BOOGIE music ”rockabilly” would be incorrect or at least reductive. Their sound is an original blend of country, rockin’ blues, boogie and rockabilly integrating a solid rhythm section, a wild guitar, saxophone, vocal harmonies…and even some banjo tunes.

The repertoire is mostly made up of self-penned songs, talking about everyday life with smart and ironic lyrics. Their live shows are sparkling, energetic and punchy thanks to experience they gained over the years.
The band published one EP in 2008 (“The Backseat Boogie Trio”), one LP in 2010 (“Till The Day I Die”) and recently their third studio work produced with RocketMan Records, “Original Spirit” (2013). For the single track “All my friends are Losers” was shot a videoclip in Toscany country-side and it’s now online.
They played all over Italy, Switzerland and Germany in many clubs and venues and took part in all the biggest Italian festivals like Summer Jamboree, Get Rhythm, Moondogs Festival and many more, always distinguishing for their originality, verve and technique. CHECK THEM LIVE!
